Mary O' Donoghue B.Sc. (Hons) Physiotherapy
She began her training in Sports and Holistic Therapies in the Cork College of Commerce. Marys holistic approach to therapy work means that she is also a fully qualified Reflexologist, Aromatherapist, Sports Injury Therapist and Reiki Master.
She has worked in Cork City and West Cork, as well as working and training in the UK, Thailand and New Zealand. During this time Mary also furthered her knowledge and training in the nutrition and dietetics side of her work attending seminars and completing her IAHS training.
Marys interest in enhancing her skills in posture analysis led her to live and work in New Zealand for a year on the Coromandel Peninsula. She trained in specialist myofascial techniques, Watsu (water therapy) and movement analysis. Additionally Mary attended training in Chiang Mai at the Lek Chia school of Traditional Thai Massage where she trained in the advanced nerve touch technique.
On returning to Ireland and having worked with football teams in West Cork she also had her own practice.
Mary has been living in the UK for the last 4 years where she completed her B.Sc. Honours Degree in Physiotherapy at Teesside University. During this time Mary worked alongside specialist clinicians in spinal rehab as well as running classes for chronic back pain.
Mary enjoys using both the hands on approach alongside exercise rehabilitation to both alleviate pain as well as teach and empower the client to self manage their condition.
